Yesterday evening I grabbed my camera and headed to Burgh Castle near me (pronounced Borough not berg) which is a Roman 3rd century 'Saxon Shore' fort.
The walls are still strong and very much showing how it would have been all those years ago, and it gives great views of Breydon Water as you look west toward Norwich.
Even though the sun had gone way down I stuck the BigStopper ND filter on to get some whispy clouds and managed to brighten it all up in post. There was a lot of noise in the RAW file given the high ISO rating and the exposure time but it's never going to be printed large..... :)
3 good things:
1 - Productive day in Norwich getting my best mates' stag costume sorted
2 - Ordering a new suit for the wedding
3 - Spending time in the afternoon writing some good parts of the speech with help from my sister
I didn't think this would land at all. Although when I edited it I really liked it, I wasn't sure if it would work or not. I think I might try more like this! :))
