Despite trying to not take too many shots on the day of the wedding this week, I ended up taking more than I thought. But the ones I really wanted to take were just of the couple themselves.
While the (amazing) official photographer got them set up outside the door where the 'Just Married' bunting was hung, I grabbed my camera so I could get a few frames myself.
I'm quite happy with this one, not sure if I've overdone the vignette but there we go...!
The Good Things:
1 - Watching Emmy walk down the aisle to meet Bari
2 - Being at Bari's side as he said those immortal words: "I do,"
3 - The beautiful weather
4 - The speeches made by everyone
5 - Getting through my French speech, and getting a laugh with the gags
6 - Finally, after all these months of building up to it, getting through my Best Man speech - it made people laugh, cry (for all the right reasons), and also got a standing ovation after I sang at the end. In other words...I smashed it!!!
7 - Staying up until the bitter end with many of the two family members playing games, drinking and enjoying each others company long after the evening guests and carriages had left
8 - Come 3am, at the end of the day, after Bari and I had finished tidying up, and being the last two people in the house to go to bed, the feeling of accomplishment in having made sure my best friend had the best day of his life so far!
When I commented on your Orague photo I suddenly thought I hadn't ever seen any photos of THE wedding but I scrolled back & here they are! Looks like a great time was had by all & the bride looked beautiful! Glad all went well, personal & tailered just for them which is the best type of 'do'!
I just read your spiel. I only had time to look at the photo the other day. What a magnificent day and it sounds like you were quite the star. How lovely for Bari to have such an amazing friend.
