Thank you to all those who have commented on my shot's of King's this week. I have been very slack recently in uploading and have fallen off the radar a little so they mean a lot. :))
This is today's shot from my time working at the King's College Chapel in Cambridge. While waiting for others to finish the very ends of the work we've been doing here this week recording the BBC Carols at Christmas programme, I decided to take my only trip up to the roof this week, and grab a few frames. My battery ran out after only a few shots but I still managed to get a shot or two of the the awesome roof top and get a good look over Cambridge.
3 good things:
1 - A good run to start the day before breakfast this morning
2 - A lovely pleasant day at work at King's
3 - A smooth derig before a drink and grub in the bar at the hotel
I'm always in awe at the vision, workmanship and sheer commitment of the people who created the wonderful churches, chapels and cathedrals of which Britain has so many examples... this captures the spirit of these endeavours very well.
No Judith this year then Steve? I have been really struggling commenting lately too, it's very time consuming & I have no idea how people with jobs away from home manage to keep up at all. Saying that this is a great view from this fantastic roof.
@happypat I got so caught up in the days up to the job I didn't even think to try and sort out time with her. Come the job there wasn't really time to spare to have a proper visit with her. Perhaps next year....!
Thank you by the way :)
@judithg It was OK, until the roof material started to feel a little bit loose under foot. I stuck to the wooden ladders at the ends of the roof rather than go rogue across the middle :)
And yes next time would be great. I just didn't make enough time for it this time around but that would be great.
