This is Alexis in my favourite coffee house Bar Italia in Soho in London. We had a little bit of time after arriving at Waterloo on the train and wandering over the river then getting lunch, so I thought a coffee for me would be great and I knew that Alexis would have a hot chocolate too.
It was a nice little filler before heading to the theatre for the matinee of the Lion King.
3 good things:
1 - Seeing the Lion King at the Lyceum in London's West End
2 - Great to see how fun it was for Alexis to check into the hotel
3 - Lovely meal with Alexis in the hotel that evening
Lion King is great! I took Adam when he was about Alexis' age which is why we have cats called Nala and Rafiki. AND a hotel too! I'm reminded of taking ours for an October half term break in manchester and going to see Beauty and the Beast at The Palace. The seating was very steep and Adam announced he felt sick which rather ruined any relaxation as he would have taken out 20 rows if he had thrown up. Anyway we put it down to too much excitement until he threw up all over the Midland Hotel suite (they'd upgraded us) and I had stress dreams about the theatre! At least Alexis doesn't subject you to trauma!!
Also the October is significant because for several years in a row there were storms at October half term and we drove back around fallen trees... Happy days!
@judithg Blimey driving back through trees.... We had a lovely train journey back to Salisbury to drop her off at home :)
And your trip sounds a bit hellish but I am thankful we didn't go through that :)
