Day 032, Year 5 - The 8th, Majlis Emirates Course, Dubai

This is the famous 8th hole on the Majlis course as part of the Emirates complex in Dubai, and one of my favourite golf holes. I would love to play this course, and it's a pleasure to at least get to work there. I have taken this photo quite a few times, but I am happy to have it in my 365.

27 years ago, there was literally nothing around the course except the desert. Since then the Dubai Marina and the awesome skyscrapers have risen to create this stunning backdrop.

It's a great golf hole because you drive down into the fairway, and with the second approach shot to the green, it gently dog-legs to the right, and back up the hill towards the majestic towers. Whatever you're doing with your game that day, I am sure it must always be cool to walk up the fairway...it;s certainly fun every time I get to drive my gold buggy with my camera gear in the back while moving to my next TV camera position as I have done every year since I have been going to this course.
