Day 047, Year 5 - Sundown On The M25

Yesterday I took Alexis home to the south coast in a 500 mile round trip and I'll admit, it was the worst days driving ever.

This is a quick snap of sunset taken at the Potters Bar services after having a little sleep to reset.

After a week of not much sleep, maybe too much sugar (with all the birthday celebrations over the last few days) and perhaps too much strong coffee, the driving really took it out of me yesterday. After getting Alexis home I turned round to head back to Norfolk and halfway back I stopped at the services to rest my head and get something to eat. The next few hours getting home with bad delays were awful and I felt rubbish getting back. 500 miles and 11 hours driving were just a bit too much!

3 good things:

1 - Getting Alexis home safe and sound
2 - Catching up on my podcasts on my journey
3 - Finally getting home, and then into bed after a very horrible day driving
Gorgeous sunset.

beautiful sunset. We do an 11 hour trip up to visit my husbands mother and it is very exhausting.

@cruiser Ooh that's a biggie....I'm moving soon and i'll be a bit closer. One day I hope to be even closer still so as not to be too far away as it's a drag for all these reasons...I guess the sunset helped a little though :)
