Having worked on some very lovely golf courses over the last few years I have seen my fair share of fantastic photography that shows these places in some of the best natural light ever.
A lot of good golf course photography is taken at either sunrise or sunset because of the quality, colour and angle of the light which delicately hits the curves and shapes of the course.
Last Saturday after day 3 of The Open at Royal Birkdale I stayed a little later to take some pictures of the lovely sunset. I climbed up the 5 metre camera tower at the 3rd Green which was one of my camera positions for the week, as the low sun gently shone over the course.
3 good things:
1 - A lovely morning with gorgeous sunshine in Birkdale
2 - More fun filming out on the course for day 3 at the Open
3 - A fun evening spent celebrating a colleagues birthday
