Day 223, Year 5 - Storm Heading Over Headingley

These work snap-shots are starting to get on my own nerves a little....I think my project has definitely started to stagnate, if it hasn't already been doing so for a while now.

With the regular travels away for work it is sometimes a great opportunity to grab some nice photos of the location but at times like this - another day at Headingley - it's a little tricky to find time to get a decent shot.

I have felt for while now that this 5th year (another incomplete one) might be the last. I will still keep a page running but the every-day aspect of it may not be something I am too fussed about. I still have (almost) 5 years of photos to look back on but I sometimes feel I am unable to keep it up.

3 good things:

1 - Nice to see colleagues i've not work ed with for a while
2 - Good that rain didn't affect the cricket being played
3 - Great fun covering the Yorkshire v Lancashire
I appreciate your sentiments. I think doing nearly 5 years is an incredible achievement. When doing a picture every day, often there isn't time to justify an amazing photo, or to go looking for great photo opportunities and therefore have to just take a photo while doing everyday stuff. This can sometimes feel a bit dissatisfying. Even work photos you will appreciate looking back on later. You do get to some incredible locations.

Those are really imposing storm clouds. I totally relate to what you are saying about the tedium at times of photo-a-day obligation. I have zilch from today as it was a travel day basically and a week of meetings. At times like these, I pretty much let it go and just live with the gaps. I figure if we've committed 5 years, that's already a sign of sufficient commitment that the daily obligation can be set aside for now. I still like browsing - even on my own off days!

Yes I know what you mean Steve & I would have given up long ago if it hadn't been for family abroad looking at the photos to see what their old mum is up to! My photos have no art content at all & I only post diary type photos now. I seem to have lost all inypterest in getting manual or clever photos but that's the way it works these days. Will be sorry if you give up though, perhaps post a few pictures of Alex now & again or if anything special happens. The friends I have met on here keep me going too but most of the original friends I started with have dropped off although I do keep in touch on FB.
