D-day... by stimuloog

D-day...

ToDay was a very special Day. Our daughter got the key to her first own student room. Happy and (we) sad at the same time.
We have to let her go... She is 19 and we know she can do it (life) by herself. We know... but in our heart it's hard...
Good luck to you all... Very nice photo!

oh my, marloes. i remember that difficult moment. our youngest is now 22 and i still find goodbyes really hard when they've stayed with us. as you say, we have to let them go, and she will do it by herself - and you will adjust. bon courage :)

The grow up pretty quickly once they leave home - and then you have fabulous adult kids to share your life with!! Different stage - just as good!

Oh, I remember that feeling. It's very bitter sweet, isn't it. At the time I remember all kinds of thoughts going through my head; my daughter later said she was mainly concerned with whether she got a good room or not!

Oh. How well I remember that day for our eldest. So difficult to let go and a big hole left behind. I do hope your daughter settles well and has a great time.
