Thanks for your interest in our project. I teach and tutor, and this is a community project we have been working on with the children to address gun violence in the city of Wilmington. I have been documenting the stages if the project, and the colors and spiral are meant to signify unity and peace.

Thanks for all your comments! In our city, particularly, the violence has been catastrophic, and this was our way of addressing the issue with the kids we tutor (and the church community as well). The kids involved ranged from pre- k to sixth grade, and they were all very responsive to it.
