Uluru sits in the Amadeus Basin which is believed to have once been part of the hypothetical Centralian Superbasin and is named after Lake Amadeus. The basin has been above water for the past 50 million years, as the modern coast of South Australia and Western Australia formed during this time. Another shot from the helicopter. As a coast girl who has nonetheless travelled far i have seen nothing like this. A joy of this project is learning about so many parts of the world seen thru the eyes of fab photographers. Beautiful
