These beautiful creatures eat the ripest cherry coffee fruit and expel the coffee bean, coating them with their anal gland making it the most expensive coffee. US$3000 per kilo. The downside is that they are now captured and caged. Luckily this one was roaming free.
I'm not a coffee drinker. So I do not need an anal coated coffee.
About the production conditions one could say a lot about these animals, but also about the people: For example, over 30 percent of the coffee harvest in Guatemala is won by child labor. Coffee production in Tanzania is one of the worst forms of child labor... And more could be said about our consumption in the rich part of the world. I think there is a great injustice...
