Locust Pod by tdaug80

Locust Pod

I went to a nearby park on a cold early morning, intending to photograph a statue with its shadow cast on the snow. Unfortunately the background was very busy with lots of trees. Since I had already braved the cold, I went in search of an alternate subject. That's when I found this locust pod casting an interesting shadow.
I thought a locust was a sort of cricket! Great light and shadow Mr F

Love the shape and shadow, such a cool curl. The crop works well. Like @30pics4jackiesdiamond I had never heard of a Honey Locust that produces pods like this......I thought they were insect things that ate a lot!
