My get-pushed partner challenged me to try photographing in the blue hour. I had rejected her suggestion due to precautions for a mosquito-borne disease that my area is experiencing. However, last night on my way to an evening activity I caught this photo of the American flag that flies at our town center. It was at half mast for the September 11 memorial. I tried a long exposure to get the flapping of the flag in the slight breeze, but it didn't quite give the effect that I envisioned.
It was also a little past blue hour, but adjusting the white balance got it looking bluish.
Beautiful colors! I'm sorry ... I wasn't aware you had a mosquito problem. I would have been glad to set another challenge. As it is, though, you did a great job with your blue hour colors.
