I often take my own get-pushed challenges. This week I challenged my partner to try this exercise: https://digital-photography-school.com/back-to-basics-photography-exercise/
In essence, you pretend that you have an old manual camera and no light meter. Then, you shoot a "roll of B&W film." I shot a "roll" of 24 exposure in the historic district of Lowell, Massachusetts.
Jackie, here are my results from the roll of B&W in all manual mode. I couldn't help but see the exposure needle in my view finder for the first couple of images, and realized that I didn't have my ISO set to the value I thought I picked. After a while, I fudged a little on the exercise--not wanting to come home with 24 duds. I set the shutter speed and aperture to what I thought would be good, and then I checked the needle to see how close I was. @30pics4jackiesdiamond
