Artificial Sunset by tdaug80

Artificial Sunset

My get-pushed partner challenged me to try black-card photography. This technique is meant for sunsets, and would work well for photographing a night shot with the full moon. The weather has been seasonably crappy lately, so I tried to set up a sunset on a cabinet top.
April, I can't say that black-card photography is going to be one of my favorite techniques, but I appreciate the challenge. I like trying out new techniques. We might see the sun over the next couple of days. I wanted to try this with the gibbous moon, but it is going to be rising too late, now. I hope to get to try it with the sunset tomorrow or the next day.
I think blending two images in post processing is a better way to approach this problem, though.

Nice of you to give it a try. I've actually never tried it. I've used graduated filters in some workshops, but mostly I just fix the imbalance in Lightroom. I might have to give it a got some evening though now that I've read through all the instructions.
