@francoise, here's another entry for your get-pushed challenge. I did a little more touching up with this one. I tried to tame the stray hairs, but the result still looked to fake, so I let them fly.
I really like both of these portraits. I spent some time going back and forth to see if I like one more than the other, but I like them both for different reasons. The expressions are very resigned to having one's picture taken. The lighting in both are great. Cutting off the chin seems unusual (I don't know, is it?), but actually seems to work quite well. What stray hairs???
@francoise Thanks for the comments. The truncated chin was just in response to your challenge of being very close in. Regarding the stray hairs, I was referring to the shaggy ends near my ears and collar. I did remove some wild eyebrow hairs and some nose hair.
