we live about 80km from Melbourne and if you have to go into town you can drive in your car and risk long delays on the freeway or take this V/Line train for about $5...
Beautifully composed John. I love the soft tones and the way the light hits the side of the train. The pop of the headlights add to the interest. Are there windows on the train?
I really like this shot John. The train lines and color and your POV are wonderful. The lighting is great also. Sounds so much better to and cheaper to take the train. Does the schedule give you freedom to come and go at reasonable times? That's a major problem with our trains going from town to town. You could take a train from our town of Salem to our major city of Portland about 50 miles away...but you go early in the morning and can't get back until much later in the day. The depot..which is a lovely old depot..is not within a good walking distance to downtown for most folks. It's doable but nothing like the trains systems in other countries.
@eyesmile ..hi Gena...yes the trains run into Melbourne every hour or so and its the best way to go...its a hassle parking the car in town too...i only go in maybe once a year at most prefering the quiet life in the country...
