"Waiting for a Barra"...

below the Burdekin Dam Falls...a patient pelican is waiting for a bite sized barra to swim by....

i watched three pelicans taking to the air and fly in large circles till they all picked up thermals and just glided upwards ...so high they were mere specks in the sky...amazing ...
