After completing my first year I am trying to focus on quality and processing at the cost of quantity. That said, it ends up that if you aren't out there chasing photos every day and pushing yourself, you end up with a lot less to work with.

I mainly shoot nature with a Nikon D500, Tokina 11-20 f2.8, Sigma 24-105 F4, and sigma 100-400 f5.6-6.3 now and am happy with it. Macros are a nikon 60mm AF-D or Tokina AT-X100mm. I have learned that spending money at a camera and lenses isn't worth it vs getting out a taking shots/ taking classes/ learning post processing.

After getting better aquatinted with ADCsee processing software in my first year, I had to give it up due to the lackluster luminosity masking features that I really wanted to learn to play with, so I am learning light room and Photoshop now.
