Tiny wild Muscadines... by thewatersphotos

Tiny wild Muscadines...

We have lots of wild Muscadine vines in our area. Most will develop into purple or "bronze" wild Muscadines. They can be harvested and eaten or used to make jelly, but most are eaten by wildlife, especially birds.
I’ve never heard of these before unless we call them something different…

They are also used to create wine… nice shot.

Love the sweet muscadine wines available here in Georgia.

Sharp and vibrant greens.

I would think that the birds will be all over these berries when they ripen.

@happypat I'm not sure they are called anything different here. They are kin to grapes, but grow more individually rather than in bunches.

@kvphoto They are, KV! There are a couple of places, here in Alabama, (as I am sure there are in Georgia) that are cultivating them just for that purpose! Thanks!

@cwbill Very likely, Bill! It seems the crows are especially interested in them.
