Mystery plant...

We have several volunteers of this plant, most in pots from last year. The plants look hardy and they are growing.
My Apple Plant App is confused! One day it is Salvia, the next it is Bee Balm.
Can anyone help with naming this plant??

It looks like some kind of mint to me. Lemon balm maybe? Nice bright greenery regardless!

Agree with @ljmanning — Looks like a mint. Can be *very* hardy. Very difficult to control/get rid of. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mentha
Now: Pinch off a leaf and smell.
Next step: Let it flower (if you can) and try ID'ing it again.

Yes I thought mint too but as it’s so perfumed I think if it was that you would know so I give up!

I thought it looked like a mint of some sort. Google lens seemed to think it's spearmint or peppermint.

My ID app (iNaturalist) suggests Wild Bergamot (part of the mint family) as it's top suggestion, though Spearmint is not far down the list. Lovely shades of green in the photo!

Doesn’t look like salvia to me. Others are probably right, but it looks somewhat like porterweed.

I am pretty sure it is not bee balm. It does look like some kind of mint.
