Indoor Playground

I really dislike them, but my kids love them. They completely drain me for the entire rest of the day. Maybe it is sensory overload.

I have lacked motivation lately and really haven't liked anything I've done...not too surprising since I have to fight to even pick up the camera. I am officially switching over to Lightroom/Photoshop editing from here on out (after using Aperture my entire photography career) so I may be absent a bit while I re-learn and find my style again in a different platform. I'm a bit terrified, to be honest, but hopefully it will reinvigorate me!
I can not tell from your album that you are lacking motivation. You do so well with composition, pov, and DoF with your images. I do not use photoshop, and struggle with the concept of "layers". I do edit in Lightroom, which I found very easy to use. I do wish I'd set up my library differently, though I'm still not sure what I should have done. I also splurged on the Google Nik Collection (I think it was $100 when I got it), which has a lot of presets that I really like. Have fun, and don't stay away too long!

Number one, I totally associate with your statement about indoor playgrounds. Absolutely hate them, but it's a big hit with the kids no matter what. I usually send my better half though.

I was lacking motivation though December! Many times I didn't pick the camera up till it was really late, or had just made a picture in the last moment. I was motivated to still stay though because it was the end of my year one. Currently, I am also finding it hard to produce anything interesting - the kids are on the break from school and daycare till Monday (that is, since December 22nd), and there is just no time to even think photography or editing while they are at home all day. What helps me is sometimes - reading/looking through a photography book.

I am with you on the indoor playgrounds, very draining but the kids love them! I am struggling as well with lack of motivation since the Holidays! I have been working with my husband to get lightroom set up on my computer, I love using that program. I took a class on how to use it and really enjoy all the features. I think you will have fun with it!
