National Temperance Hospital by tomdoel

National Temperance Hospital

Built in 1885 by the Temperance League with the aim of reducing the widespread use of alcohol in medicine, the London Temperance Hospital later became part of the NHS and had a variety of clinical and administrative uses before closing in 2006. Its future is uncertain and it may be demolished to make way for HS2.
