@tesssa Thank you Tessa, What I mean by wash is when they are taken out the ground all the stems are taken off the Tuberous like part that's was underground is washed off of all the soil, then left to dry, then I rap everyone up in newspaper and store in a frost free place. then when spring comes round next year I start them off in pots undercover. It sounds like a lot of work but its worth it, they will flower all summer until the frost. I have some tubers 30 years old. Hope this helps.
