Taken a few days ago, this stone marks the spot of a very small cemetery down the road from me. The dates of death are from the late 1880's and represent only a few families. There are also a few small old simple markers but this one has been erected to replace the ones that are gone due to decay.
yes...many of the old markers have the names and dates eroded away...these new markers are necessary to preserve the names but not the same as the old stones
