sap is running

Been a very strange spring here...cold one day, warm the next. I am not sure how the maple syrup crop will be this year.

Does it usually have to be quite cool for good syrup/

@blueberry1222 I think it has to be right at the freezing point. If it gets too warm too fast, the sap won't last very long. Then if it starts to run and then everything freezes, the sap stops running period.
