@hermann Thank you, that's duckweed, due to strong wind it is all blown together into one spot.

Duckweed.....the bane of my life! I hate it when it gets in my pond, it just takes over!

@gigiflower yes, that happens to my parents pond as well. And takes until winter to get rid of it.

@train365 They have a LARGE pond! Do they keep fish in it?

@gigiflower I would say neither huge nor small. Well they pomp water in from the nearby ditch, and although they have a filter sometimes tiny fish get through as well as duckweed seeds. But I don't think either those fishes or the ducks can eat all the duckweed. Interesting I thought Australia didn't have duckweed.
