The Old Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis Xavier by tunia

The Old Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis Xavier

Indiana history isn't very old. The parish of St. Francis Xavier in Vincennes is the oldest congregation in Indiana, established about 1732. This is the 4th church on the site, the first built of posts, mud daubing and a bark roof. It was a settlement of French Canadian fur traders and Piankeshaw Indians.
It is beautiful Tunia, love the friezes, ceiling and tiny stained glass windows. Thank you for sharing :)
