A tree in trouble

This tree has been slowly dying over the past 3 or 4 years. I've cut the branches that might fall on the house but last summer some branches still had cherry blossoms. I admire its persistence.

It makes for a most fascinating picture with those mushrooms growing out of the side of it and all the textures and colors but how heartbreaking to think of it as slowly dying
