A new garden for the library

My master gardener group is using cardboard and mulch to kill the grass on this long stretch. In the spring we'll plant a pollinator garden to teach kids, and adults, about bees and butterflies.
That sounds wonderful

It looks like such hard work now but what a wonderful end result it will be! Terrific documentary photo.

I'm glad to see this photo. I want to do something like this in my garden and couldn't quite wrap my head around it. Will you plant my going through the cardboard in the spring, or will you shake off all the mulch and pull up the cardboard?

@randystreat The grass will be dead and the cardboard will decompose. It should be ready for planting in spring, as least that's what a master gardener, and my research, tells me.

Thank you for the info, Tunia. I am not much of a gardener but I do like to see the flowers in the summertime.
