Japanese Maple

The leaves look interesting when they are just starting to unfold. The underside is a brighter red than the tops of the leaves. These trees have brilliant follage in Spring and again in fall. In summer the leaves are green.
I wish we still have our tree. It was about 40 years old, got something that bored under the bark and that killed it. The birds still use it to perch on.

Nice detail on the leaves; maybe you could do it twice more so we can see the changes referring back to his one.
