Juneau from the ship

I was surprised to find the capitol of Alaska is a city of only thirty thousand people and it accessable mainly by air or sea. The small boat you see is one used to transport us from the ship to the mainland. It is located at the northern end inside passage and nestled at the foot of Mount Juneau. Because of high tides you have walk up steep floating ramps to get to land.
Wow, lovely shot!
