This morning we have a heavy fog. This is my driveway today.
I'm including a poem I wrote once about the fog. Some yankee told me once that pastel didn't rhyme with spell. All I can say is it does in the South where I grew up. LOL
FOGGY MORN
Down the ribbon of highway,
almost erased by the gray,
traveling along in early morn,
We hope for sunshine today.
The fog settled in last night
and hangs like a ghostly veil,
shrouding the bright hues of autumn
and forming an eerie trail.
Now, we see something different
as the sun sprinkles its light;
occasional splashes of color
through translucent drapes of white.
Even the fog has beauty
changing the earth for a spell
creeping around, a cloud on the ground
coloring the leaves with pas`tel

(By the way today is my birthday)
I love your photo of your driveway. The framing looks very nice on this also. Your poem is very good. I like it too expecially the pas'tel part. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope you have a great day.
lovely poem, and a beautiful photo. I haven't been around for a few months, but I know I've said this in the past - you really have an eye for displaying your already gorgeous photos iwith beautiful framing and composition!
Happy Birthday! What a driveway! So beautiful, and so full of atmosphere on a foggy day. I love the path leading you in and the bright green of the leaves on the first tree :)
