Early Bee Gets the Nectar by vernabeth

Early Bee Gets the Nectar

I thought it was too early for bees but today, I saw my first one for the year. This plant is one I've been trying to identify ever since I moved here and found it growing on the edge of the woods. This is Beale's Barberry or Leatherleaf Mahonia. It has leaves like a holly but drooping clusters of yellow flowers and later berries.
Fav!!!!! Gorgeous pic, Beth! I LOVE it! :0)
