Weed, Maybe but a Pretty One

I thought this was red clover growing in my yard but it doesn't have a clover-like leaf so maybe I'm wrong.

My thought is that the definition of a weed is "a plant out of place". If this is where this "weed" belongs then it is not a weed, rather it is a flower. And, yes, a pretty one. Great detail. (N)
