My middle son, black shirt, lives in LA. He had meetings in Seattle last week. Even though it is only 3 hours away, he was so booked up that he told us not to waste our time driving up because we would not be able to see much of each other. I was a little sad to have him so close but not see him. Well, Monday morning he called and said that his agenda had changed and he had a car rented and was on his way here! It was only for the day, but it was so awesome. My oldest son and his family drove up from Salem and my daughter who lives close-by brought her little family over. My parents and sisters also joined us for dinner. What a spontaneous fun day it was!
Son John is a high school economics instructor and heads up the DECA program. Son Dennis has his PHD in psychology, works for Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), he heads up the branch that helps kids RECOVER from autism called SKILLS. My daughter is a labor and delivery nurse and works at a high risk delivery hospital. Am I a proud Mom or what?
Beautiful shot of a lovely family. It is great to get all of your children together. How wonderful that all of your children are involved in such caring occupations. i assume that is a direct gene from Mom. You should be very proud.
How wonderful to have them all together! Lovely kids! I haven't had all 4 of mine in the same place in almost 2 years. Where is CARD? Do they do ABA? My grandson gets ABA in El Paso and it's made a huge difference.
@nanalisarocks CARD headquarters is in Tarzana, CA (north LA). I asked my son and he said yes, they do ABA...but no to having an office in El Paso, although they do have many around the US. http://www.centerforautism.com/home.aspx here is the link to CARD they talk about ABA under the research tab. (my son is there too!) SKILLS is what he heads up. http://skillsforautism.com/meet-the-founders.html (YES, I am very proud!)
