I did not feel qualified to be the photographer, they asked me, but instead I referred my sister to a man that I have only met on Flickr. Our paths have crossed but never connected until yesterday when he showed up to photograph the wedding. A little bonus for me to meet him after all these years. But even though I was not 'official' I still came home with 500 photos to edit...therefore spent the day editing and this is the shot I will post for today, technically, the wedding lasted until after midnight...
Wonderful photo Vicki...it can be pretty daunting - you have captured her beautifully ...l was asked the same thing, didn't feel comfortable being the only photographer...l was worried about so many things ...so they also asked two other family members and between the three of us we came up with some great shots and also got to enjoy the day.
Love the lighting on the dress and the view outside w/ the fallen leaves! :) I hope to tag along w/ a wedding photographer sometime just to get the experience and feel of it. Sounds thrilling.
Oh, Vicki, I think this is just lovely. I have no doubt you would have done a marvelous job--and they must have had confidence in you to have asked you to do it. Looking forward to seeing some of your other shots.
I am sure you would have done a wonderful job.....let next time be the first time!!!! It must be incredibly scary and stressful to start with.....this is a lovely shot, love her walking out into a bright and sunny future!!!
@wannabe he did a fine job! and I was really glad that I didn't have the pressure of it....I followed him around and copied what he was doing...learned a lot.
