Thanks for the support in getting the two hummer photos on PP! Many asked about them being here in the winter. It is the first time for me to notice them, so I Googled it and found out that the Anna's hummingbird will winter here if a dependable food source is found. I am going to make sure and keep the feeders full and thawed this year, as at least 3 of them are constantly at war over them. I have also decided to put a few on the front side of the house and maybe that will keep them at peace so they all make it through the winter. I will keep you posted on their survival.
Very interesting about the hummingbirds! Gorgeous shot!!!! We usually go to the mountains right before Christmas for a week but are not going this year. I'm going to miss it!
We used to be able to see St. Helens from our bedroom deck, but all the trees have grown too tall over the years.
