We have Thanksgiving dinner every year at my parents place. Mom and Dad and my 2 sisters and our husbands...and as many of our kids and grandkids that can make it. The table now stretches from one end of the living room to the other, but we all sit together to eat. And my Mother always makes sure that each person has a namecard...usually something she made. This year, she made little tole painted pumpkin candy holders.
A great family gathering, Vicki. My mum used to do that too when we were younger, but later, when it became too much for her we used to go and eat out at a restaurant, something which we still do today (without mum and dad now both gone).
