What do you get if you mix a camera, a moving car and the night? Night trails is what! I went to the cinema this evening and I knew I wouldn't have much time to take a daily photo, so on my way home I took a few shots by resting my compact camera on the dashboard as I drove.
These shots require a long exposure, and luckily my Canon S90 has full manual functionality. I then increased the contrast and clarity in post-processing.
I watched Scott Pilgrim vs. The World at the cinema. It was enjoyable, and I do like Michael Cera (who plays the titular character). For somebody who grew up on Super Mario Bros. and Street Fighter, it was reminiscent of such games. It has visual and stylistic flourishes that I haven't seen in a movie before (and I watch a lot of films), so it scores points for originality. If you're in your late 20s or early 30s and had a Nintendo or Sega system back in the day, then you should watch it as you'll understand the references throughout.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

I saw this a great pic I have to honest this is some thing I have wanted to try for a long time however I have never bothered to clean my windscreen, you are using an S90. Do you find holding onto this camera a sometimes slippy experience? What do you think of the camera as a whole ?
Looks great. Can't text or talk on a cellphone while driving, but no one said nuthin about long exposure photography! And i want to see that movie soon too
I like this and may try it myself. I love night trails. Just told my hubby last night I would love to stand on an overpass and take pictures of an expressway, but that may not be a good idea.
