Another day, another night time shoot. I went to the cinema this evening, so I packed my camera and tripod in to my car so I could shoot something after the film finished. Despite getting there early the showing we planned on watching had sold out, so we got tickets for a later showing and walked back to my car. I decided to take a few photos of another university building that I was parked near.
This is the Arkwright Building, a Grade II-listed building that is used by Nottingham Trent University. I'm a little annoyed that I've slightly cut off the top of the building, but other than that I'm quite pleased with the shot. Like yesterday's photos, I did very little post-processing except decreasing the contrast.
The film I watched was excellent. I watched The Social Network, the film about the birth of Facebook and the subsequent fallout. I'm a big fan of director David Fincher's work; Fight Club is one of my favourite films and I really enjoyed Se7en and Zodiac. After the disappointment that was The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, this truly was a return to form. The acting was first rate, and kudos to Aaron Sorkin's script that was both intelligent and riveting. It's highly recommended!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

I LOVE this! I can't believe I didn't see it before. Love the wide angle, and the light is great. Love the way the rays stream from the windows. It reminds me of the House of Night novels from PC and Kristen Cast. Great stuff
