It takes some getting used to it being dark when I finish work. I thought about using the darkness by going on a night shoot, but it was raining and getting particularly windy, so I took a few photos on my drive home.
I wanted to use the rain drops on my windscreen to my advantage so I deliberately took a few out-of-focus shots. I've always wanted to try this bokeh effect, and I'm quite pleased with this attempt especially considering it's with my little S90. It's an abstract shot that could be used as a texture for another picture. In post-processing I increased the clarity and I turned the picture 180 degrees as I think it's better aesthetically.
I'm avidly watching weather forecasts at the moment. With the clocks moving back sunset is during work hours, and I remember from previous years that sometimes the skyline is absolutely gorgeous. I'm waiting for a relatively clear day as it's been so grey recently. When the forecast is better, I plan to leave a little earlier from work to take a few shots from the nearby country park.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

The colors are very pretty. Here in the US, we will set back our clocks next weekend. I am not looking forward to being dark when I get out of work, since I sometimes take my photos after work.
That's a great shot and totally agree that it would make an amazing texture. :) I love that it has motion to it - the bokeh lines make you feel like you're zooming towards it.
