I intended on going to the gym this evening. However, it dawned on me as I went to get my gym bag that I think I'd forgotten my trainers. A quick check inside my bag only confirmed it. Annoyed with myself for driving all the way in to town for a workout that could not happen, I went shopping instead!
I got home and thought about what to shoot. Inspired by today's annoyance, I thought why not get my oldest but trustiest pair of trainers out and take a few photos of the mangy old pair?
I do wear a more appropriate pair of Adidas running shoes at the gym, but these old Asics have done well by me, and I think the age and texture make for a better picture.
I bought a new suit today in one of the sales. I haven't bought a new suit in a while, and with a new job around the corner I thought it was time to invest in some smart attire. The thing with sale shopping for suits is the difficulty in purchasing both pieces of the suit. It's so irritating finding a jacket you love, only to be unable to find the trousers in your size!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Nice shot... Yep.. Here you on the suit business and especially when finding a jacket that fits but no trousers... I eventually found what I was looking for but took ages.......
Would you share your secrets? What did you do in pp to get that gritty look? If you don't want to devulge your technique I understand. Either way it's fantastic.
