A rose is a rose is a rose...

Today I'll be fairly brief. Suman bought some flowers for the home, so I took a few shots of them this evening.

Initially I took some shots of a few of the roses, but it didn't please me. So, I went back and attempted some tighter compositions and I was more pleased with this, which involved tilting my flash to one side to achieve the shadows within the petals. I then cropped it further in post-processing, increased the clarity and contrast, and made the darks darker and the lights lighter.

I've been watching The Sopranos on Sky Atlantic. I only caught a few episodes a few years ago, so it's been good watching it again from scratch and getting in to something many people have raved about. It's one of the reasons I want to be brief, because the next episode is on tonight!

@azza_l yup it's very good, not convinced it's great yet though but i'm only 4 or 5 eps in, but certainly warming to it! luckily haven't got box set - i'm just watching it weekly on sky atlantic, so i can stagger my interest.
