It might have been my birthday today, but I still had work to do! I've had to use my photography skills at work a few times, and this morning I was asked to do a shoot with Paul, a new Managing Director for one of the parts of the business. As I've never done a corporate shoot before, I was a little nervous.
We didn't have much time, but I ended up taking over 60 photos, of which at least a third were of a quality I was happy with. We took photos of differing styles; at ease and friendly, Paul 'in action' and more formal shots too. A few stood out, and this informal photo was one of them. You'll notice that there are photos of his children in the background, which was deliberate to convey that he's a normal family man.
Paul later saw some of the photos printed, and he was really happy with them. I'm glad I volunteered to do today's shoot instead of paying for a professional; it was a good experience and another string to my bow.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.
