Today I received the following email from the manager at Attenborough Nature Reserve, a place that was opened by David Attenborough himself a few years ago:
We are in the process of designing some new postcards to be sold at our Attenborough Nature Centre in Nottingham. I was wondering whether you would like one of your photographs to feature on one of these postcards? I have seen your Flickr site and particularly like the image Attenborough Nature Reserve 13. It certainly captures the essence of the dramatic sky-scapes we get here at the Reserve.
We will of course credit you for the image, and it will also help to advertise your work to the wider public. Not to mention the fact that sales of the postcards will provide the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust charity with vital funds that will help protect this wonderful place for future generations.
If you would like us to use this image, please could you send me a hi-res copy."
How exciting! Naturally I said yes, so I've emailed them with a copy of the above, asking for a couple of the postcards to be sent to me when they're produced.
I actually remember being there and one of the staff said to me that they're always interested in seeing photos taken of the Reserve. How funny is it that nine months later they actually contact me?! It actually makes me want to go back there to take some more photos.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

How on earth does this not have more views?! What a stunning shot. The colors, the composition, and those dramatic clouds all bowl me over. Congrats! What an honor.
