I have a new favourite pair of cufflinks - can you guess why?! These were purchased as one of my Christmas presents from my better half. I wore them today for the first time, and as soon as I did I knew what I was going to shoot today.
I took this using the reverse macro technique; this is when you turn a lens around and hold it against the camera, focusing simply by moving the camera back or forth. The depth of focus is extremely narrow, hence why very little is in actual focus.
I took this using my 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens - the first of its kind for Canon. It's very sharp (when used properly!) but I'll probably trade this in for a 50mm f/1.4 in the near future.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Wow! I am impressed with the links and the method.
Thanks so much for sharing. Would never have considered turning the lens around. (Much too intimidated by lenses to start messing with them but this sounds great.)
