Me & My Mates

Went out the back door this morning & all I could hear was birds, Found these guys & their mate magpie sitting in the driveway. So lucky they didn't fly away on me until I got a few shots in. Green Rosella

These have such beautiful colouring. We don't get them up here so I've consulted my bird book but can't see anything with these markings. I'm presuming a lorikeet or rosella of some kind?

Great colourful birds. I have a note written when on holiday in S.Australia; "Somehow rosellas can sit in a tree & despite their bright colours they are very difficult to see!"
So it's good to see the various pics on 365 that show how beautiful they really are!
