Minimal shot for 5weeks in May challenge. Haven't much of a clue how these are meant to be done so any input for you would be greatly appreciated.
These guys love our place, we have high ceilings & they get every where if you let them.
This looks minimal so I think you've done it right, although I'm certainly no expert. I pulled the boys' umbrella's out from the garage yesterday and a really big daddy longlegs was on one of them...looked very similar to this one!
This is an excellent minimal shot Wendy! I think the basic idea of a minimal shot is to include the bare essence of what you're trying to shoot. In other words you reduce the subject to it's most basic representation. In this case you focused on the spider and left out any distractions in the background. You've also used the simple colors of blue and brown to allow the spider to seem suspended in midair without the web. Great job!
@olivetreeann Thank you Ann, he was actually sitting on his web. I wanted to give minimal a try as I haven't ventured into it before. Thanks to you starting this challenge I am learning lots of new aspects to photography. Having fun with it, thanks again
